LG Optimus 3D erhält Update auf Android Gingerbread 2.3

Zwar steht schon Android 4.0 vor der Tür, aber vorher gibt es noch ein Update für das LG Optimus 3D auf Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread. Die Installation ist leider nicht so einfach und sie ist nicht OTA (over the air) möglich, sondern erfordert einen PC. Eine Anleitung findet ihr hier.

Hier ist die Anleitung für alle Optimus 3D Besitzer wie man das Update auf sein Smartphone bekommt

Das Update kann momentan nur über das LG Mobile Support-Tool auf dem OPTIMUS 3D installiert werden. Dieses steht für Microsoft Windows zur Verfügung.

Damit jeder von euch das Update so schnell wie möglich auf sein LG P920 OPTIMUS 3D laden kann, habe ich für euch eine kleine Anleitung zur Installation zusammengestellt, die in wenigen Schritten zum Erfolg führt:

• Ladet euch bitte von der LG-Website das Mobile-Support (Auf Software-Update klicken) Tool herunter.
• Installiert die Anwendung.
• Startet die Anwendung
• Klickt auf “Installiere USB-Treiber”, wählt das P920 aus, wartet den Download ab. Den USB-Treiber findet ihr dann zur Installation unter c:\LGP920
• Achtet darauf, dass der Massenspeichermodus nicht aktiviert ist. Deaktiviert diese Option ggf. unter Einstellungen -> Speicherverwaltung -> Haken bei “USB Speicher” raus.
• Verbindet euer OPTIMUS 3D mit dem PC per USB.
• Klickt auf “SW-Update starten”
• Bitte etwas Geduld haben, der Update-Prozess bleibt gelegentlich für einige Minuten stehen. Das Update läuft trotzdem weiter.

– When viewing a web page, users can quickly select a word by pressing HOLD, then copying to the clipboard and pasting. Users also can easily adjust the selection area as needed.

Download management
– This feature allows all downloads from browsing, emails and other applications to be easily viewed and controlled from one place.

Audio preview
– Downloaded audio files can be promptly played without a specific player.

Support for new media formats such as AAC, AVC, MPEG 4 and H263
New features and other improvements: Bluetooth 3.0 support, active app management, shortcuts, widgets, icons, app groups, updated calendar options, camera geotagging, better email synching and more precise camera auto-focus

Leider gilt dieses Update nur für Smartphones die ungebrandet sind, also beispielsweise in einem Shop ohne Vertrag gekauft wurde. Gebrandete Smartphones erhalten das Update erst zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt, da die Carrier wohl noch einige Änderungen vornehmen müssen.
